Set along the Silk Road, ancient Bactria (northwestern portion of ancient Afghanistan and Tajikistan) was an important trading center between 600BC and 600AD. Many years later Roman Glass shards are still being excavated by the Locals for jewelry. The ancient glass has a unique shape and texture with some mineral deposits, and a rainbow patina reflecting their 2,000+ years.
